Timpview High School offers a comprehensive driver education program for its students.

  • Lowerclassman Complete Drivers Ed Course

    Program Phases:

    1. Obtain Learner's Permit - Complete all Driver License Division requirements.
    2. Online Course Instruction - 6 weeks (no extensions beyond 6 weeks; retake fee applies after that).
    3. Simulator Driving - 2 hours/day for 3 days.
    4. Road Driving - 2 hours/day for 3 days.
    5. Testing- 1 testing session
    6. 40 Hours of Parental Driving - Must begin with a permit and be mostly completed before road driving.

    Road driving is for refining skills and passing the test, not for learning the basics.

    This course is open only to students currently in grades 9 or 10. If you enroll in the wrong package, we'll need to remove you from the course.
